Hi Friends,
Here’s what I recently finished reading- The Set Boundaries Workbook.
I believe this workbook is exceptional and highly beneficial to complement your journey. It has proven to be an invaluable resource, aiding in the exploration of my emotions of unease and remorse when it comes to establishing and upholding boundaries. Moreover, it provides insights into the barriers that hinder your ability to assert yourself effectively.
Setting Boundaries is one of the toughest things to do. One of many problems that we face in doing so is the Discomfort. We become uncomfortable when we try to build up boundaries. Embracing a boundaried life requires audacity. It entails taking the risk of disappointing others, which demands courage. Speaking up and expressing your needs necessitates strength. Through this workbook, we learn to establish boundaries even in the face of fear, or in the midst of guilt.
My Thoughts about Set Boundaries Workbook
This book is a fantastic opportunity for those who want to dig deeper and set healthy boundaries for themselves.
Living a life devoid of healthy boundaries constraints your ability to live life on your own terms. Your desires and aspirations become obscured by the opinions, thoughts, and actions of others. Your own needs fade into the background due to the overwhelming demands of others. When you fail to take ownership and manage your own life, others will gladly assume that role for you.
There are 14 chapters in the book. Each chapter has certain exercises and journaling prompts that helps you to understand yourself better, deal with the discomfort and set guilt-free boundaries.
What Sets This Book Apart?
It’s the Tawwab’s emphasis on the importance of internal boundaries, which involve understanding one’s emotions, values, and self-worth. She highlights the significance of self-care and self-compassion, reinforcing the idea that boundaries are not about being selfish but rather about self-preservation and maintaining healthy connections with others.
